ECU Remapping

At JBM, we specialise in German vehicles, such as VAG TFSI (EA113), VAG TSI EA888 (Gen 1-3), VAG TDI (PD/CR) and most BMW/Mini’s. Contact us for more information on remapping your vehicle. Remapping is the replacement of default software on the ECU, with new software that is bespoke for your car. This enables the tuner to gain:

  • Performance from any hardware changes
  • Increased throttle response
  • A notable increase in overall torque and power
  • Smoother delivery of power
  • Potential for improved fuel economy
  • Enhanced rev range

All of our engine tuning is entirely carried out in house and is bespoke to each vehicle to ensure the best results, especially for vehicles with a lot of hardware modifications. The majority of the time, the automatic transmissions are unaltered mechanically and are configured by the software within the transmission ECU to get the best results. The performance of the transmission will ultimately determine how the car feels, so adapting the software to suit the requirements or changes alongside an engine tune will allow the optimal performance and driving experience.
